To sum up our trip to Asia…“we had four very diverse experiences in four wonderfully different places”.  It was action packed without a day to have a rest (we didn’t want to miss a thing) We reunited with precious friends, we forged bonds with YWAMers that we only knew for hours, we also had our hearts captivated by the humble beautiful Chinese people who honored us with a warm welcome.

SINGAPORE…Soo Jin & Pat rolled out the “red carpet” for us with incomparable hospitality.  They spoiled us and showed us as much of the beautiful island of Singapore we could possibly take in.  They are Christian leaders serving that nation with great wisdom and impact.  We loved Singapore and decided that would be our "nation of choice", if we could have dual citizenship!

We were there for Singapore's national day - guess what the nation's color is?

Our second stop was Hong Kong.  We stayed at the YWAM base, rubbing shoulders with family from all over the world who’ve committed their lives to sending teams in to Asia.  We were touched by the simple way they live, and their passion for worship, prayer and the Chinese.  We took in the amazing sights and sounds of Hong Kong.  This was also our closest encounter with the Olympics.

A Brazil team practicing their circus act before heading North into Asia.  There was some real commitment here as it was pouring rain.

To see a video of our time in Singapore and Hong Kong  and into C hina - Click here.  I'd love some feedback - someone who is very, very, very close to me who's name starts with a R thinks it's too long - what do you think?  After making it, here's what I think - too much to show and too much to explain makes it so hard to pack into a couple minutes.  I hoped to give you a feel of the places we were and see what was happening along the way.  In reality it's perhaps too long but I'm not going to edit this one.  I'll just keep my next trip shorter.   :)

Our next two stops and more photos in the next update.
